... dearest Professor Tolkien was born. He knew much about languages, literature and religion. Yet, his greatest knowledge was about the basic facts of life: Good versus Evil.
After The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit adaptation to cinema is coming this year. That story was the first he wrote and he made it for his children. It's much simpler than the TLOTR or any of the other tales he wrote afterwards.Yet, the morals are the same: whether it's Sauron or Smaug, there can be no compromise with Evil. And this is the most important lesson he left to posterity.
The following film score could be called THE DESTRUCTION OF EVIL. It's so epic, it has been used to promote many epic films, including TLOTR, although it's the score of a minor film that has nothing to do with it. Even the title is the opposite it should be. I chose it as an homage to Tolkien. Hopefully it'll be a requiem for a nightmare.
