Once upon a time...

... there was a Queen of a very powerful kingdom only a few heard about.

Three suitors sought her in marriage, so they could be the very powerful King of that kingdom.

The first was very rich and he offered all his money to the Queen:
- You can spend as you like and buy whatever you want - he said to her.

But she replied:
-I can only wear one shoe at a time. Money is not that important to me. Thank you, but no.

The second was very famous and he offered her all his fame:
- I can make you known all over the world and turn you into an icon to be loved by everyone - he said to her.

But she replied:
- And also to be hated by everyone. Fame is two-faced and not good for me. Thank you, but no.

The third was a knight, still looking for fame and riches. The Queen was immediately in love with his charms and his looks. He said to her:
- I'll be your champion and serve no other master.

Happy she was with his offer; yet, she replied:
- You serve Victory, for you're nothing without her.

But he replied:
- If Victory doesn't smile upon me, but you do, I'll still be a very happy man, for my happiness derives from yours entirely. But without you, even the greatest victory will make me feel empty and sorrowful. Your love is the only victory I truly desire.

The Queen was so happy, she was lost for words and could only smile. She married the knight, who became the King of that very powerful kingdom only a very few heard of. And they were together as one for ever after.
